June 22-26: Help for our Annual Community Mission: Our annual Community Mission will be held June 22 - 26. This is our chance to reach out to people in our community and help them with various projects they are not able to do on their own. In the past, we've cleaned up yards, weeded gardens, cleared brush, painted, washed windows, stacked wood, torn down small buildings, etc. If you can help, we'd love to have you, whether for a day or all week! Give it some thought, use some vacation time if you need to. This is a wonderful chance to help out your neighbors and mentor some enthusiastic young people from our youth group! See Doug or contact him at 919-271-5922 or eoccyouth@gmail.com for more information.
Bottle and Can Fundraising
There are three places to turn in bottles to raise money for various groups at EOCC. There is a container in front of the church near the mailboxes which benefits the Scouts. The barrels in the rear entry to Fellowship Hall benefit the Missions Board. And now you can pick up "Clynk Bags" in the office or from members of The Reason that will benefit the youth group. These bags may be dropped off at the Clynk sheds at various Hannaford sites around the area including Brewer, Hampden and Old Town as well as Union Street and Broadway locations in Bangor.
Mentoring/Discipling Program: We will be starting a mentoring/discipling program for some of our youth this fall. We need adults who would like to work with one or two adolescents who might need some extra guidance and friendship as they journey with Christ. If you are interested, talk to or contact Doug at eoccyouth@gmail.com or 919-271- 5922.
